Prof.Dongbin ZhaoSpeech Title: Deep Reinforcement Learning Helps to Shape Generalists Abstract: Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has achieved several major breakthroughs in artificial intelligence in recent years, including DQN, AlphaGo, AlphaZero, AlphaStar, Muzero, etc. It was encouraging to observe several developments in the previous year, not just in algorithms and games but also in many practical applications, towards a rudimentary shape of generalists. This talk will present main accomplishments and recent developments in DRL, especially in the last year, along with prospective future study and application areas. Some of research endeavors on DRL from the speaker's group will also be shared. Bio of lecturer: Dongbin Zhao is a professor with the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Dr. Zhao serves as several Associate Editors, including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. He is involved in organizing many international conferences, including General Chair of IEEE Conference on Games 2022. He has published 7 books, and over 300 international journal and conference papers, including the Outstanding/Best Paper Award of IEEE TASE, TETCI, and TCDS. His group won over 10 first prizes in popular AI competitions, including 3 championships of 2020 RoboMaster AI Challenge. His current research interests lie in deep reinforcement learning, computational intelligence, smart driving, game artificial intelligence, robotics, etc. He is an IEEE Fellow. |
